Fuoye Theatre Arts at it again!

       Fuoye Theatre arts department are really living up to their responsibility as the salt of the university community. They are back with the festival of performances, which commenced on Tuesday 18th August 2015 with a comic play titled "Aisha", it was preceded by a dance from the northern part of the country named "Sharo Dance".
     The Play (Aisha) was written by Julie Okoh, directed by Tayo Isijola and was staged in the University's main Auditorium. The Audience was really treated to nice atmosphere theatrical fiesta filled with humour and excitement.

Synopsis of the Play:
     Ehimare and Aisha have been happily married for ten years without an issue, but his mother (Mama Adesua) did not support the union. She has constantly held the issues of childlessness and ethnic differences against the couple. More so, since Ehimare refused the village-bride (Etemini) she prepared for him, she is hell-bent to push Aisha out of the home. Mama's attitude towards the couple frightens Ruddy (the domestic servant) so much that she refuses to welcome a hand of friendship from Chike (driver), because of tribal differences. As Mama Adesua visits, tension and confusion ensue, and these over Ehimare to a point where he decides to dam all consequences and prove his love to his wife. Ruddy also admits her affection for Chike and in spite tribal differences, she agrees to marry him.

Star of the day:
Odekunle Iyanuoluwa, she acted as Ruddy.
